SCENIC PICS FROM BEAUTIFUL GUATEMALA--OPERATION SHOEBOX DECEMBER 2008!!

Operation Christmas Shoebox Outreach Missions Trip December 2008--It was spring in Guatemala with nighttime temps in the 40's and daytime temps in the 70's!! This made for an adjustment coming home to Iowa snow, ice and cold!! Guatemala sports some fanctastic scenery with beautiful mountains and active volcanoes!! This is a beautiful country with beautiful people and beautiful weather!! Our trip was during the dry season--Geauemala has six months of rain and six months of dry season. Some of the mountain roads we traveled were exciting enough during the dry season--one wonders how treacherous they are in the rainy season!!
